PS2 Screenshots???

I have heard that the PS2 can take screenshots in game...
(With out pointing a camera at the screen)


Is this true??? and if it is how can you do it, and is it for FFXI only?

heh no ones replied to this topic, even tho its the easiest to answer..

apparently you can save to your memory card or something, open the file via POL, send the file from your PS2 POL email account and open it on your PC

if you look through last years archieve, if they're still around, you'll find a guide, with screenshots and methods explaining how to do it

if the arcieve isn't about, try asking PiNG via PM if he knows, because i'm quite sure he plays the PS2 ver and has taken afew screenshots.

I think it is press R1 and L1 or something like that at the same time. Its not a ps2 feature its a feature in the game so if the game allows u to u can. Its not like it will work on all games...

1 - Press the Select button to remove all the menus/names off the screen
2 - Press L2 and R2 to add the Square copyright along the bottom corner of the screen
3 - Press the R1 button. The screen will pause for a second and your picture will be saved. You can then press the Select to bring your menus and whanot backup.

Your pictures can be found by looking in your File Manager inside your POL Navigator.

Somewhat correct you only need to hold the R2 button not both R2 and L2 :thumbsup:

Is it possible to send the taken pictures from the POL Mail to another e-mail inbox out of the POL service? I've read about the picture taking, but I was wondering if it was possible?

yes it is possible to send the pics uve taken..to any valid email address aol yahoo roadrunner hotmail ect....
