Mamoth Final Fantasy XI monsters!!!!

Hey all I came in contact with some big ones here recently im not talkin about mad sheep or goblins i mean like Tremor Rams and Battle Rams...I have fough the windurst dragon with a group and won but what other BIG or Mamoth monsters have you seen in the Game

These Rams - North of Selbin and in the highlands south pack a good punch im only lvl 14 so of cource my ass got kicked i was far away too and it hit with 80 and 100 attacks the battle ram was the worst 1 hit 231 and i was dead.... So how many more Mamoth monsters are on this game Please let me know where they are located and what they are called and maybe the attack or lvl ratio need to beat them, I and about 6 other ppl killed that 1 tremor ram and got ram hide and ram meat but i lost 2 party members doing it we were all lvl11-16. Let Me know!!

There's Behemoths, I heard they are huge. Also heard Malboro's are pretty big too but I don't know where to find either

Rams and Malboros are easily soloable at level 30... Funnel bats on the other hand, still hit me for 200+. I guess they don't shake the ground when they move though, eh? :D

Saw a bigone Here Out side of Windurst Me and a party were lookin at it, it was a Dhamle lookin Creature but When you Checked its strenght it said "Strength to High to Calculate" Whats that mean like 300 hit in the 1st attack...anyone have more Pics I would love to see..I havnt figured out how to take pics on my PC but if I do ill get a Pic of that one huge Dhamle...

sorry to be off topic but that post raises a question that i hadn't thought of before and i think a separate thread would make more clutter than this little reply....

are PC/PS2 going to have a vibration feature for this game(if you use the ps2 controller for PC)?

"Stregnth is impossible to measure" doesn't necessarily mean it's hard. For example, Tom Tit Tat can easily be soloed by a lvl 15.

However... Bloodtear Balgruf... ouch... He took down my lvl 34 RDM friend in two hits. Would have been faster, but she still had 15hp after the first hit. Being a monk, I lasted a whole 3 hits, but could never connect a punch with it. :mad: I'll give him a shot again when I hit about 50 and have a full party.

The tremor ram is a decent money maker, he drops a ram's horn worth 650-ish and ram skins worth 250-ish.

And finally, Malboros are in Pahow, Behomths in Behomths Dominion. Malboros. Malboros hit fast. Of course, they have bad breath, like every other ff malboro. Slow, gravity, poison, paralyze, blind, everything else but curse and weakness... Fighting them is kinda hit or miss. If your mages get silenced and everyone else is paralyzed it could go really bad. If you kill it off before it uses bad breath or bad breath only hits one person, they are pushovers. Ochus in Rolanberry are pretty much the same, only higher level.

WOW anyone Seen this scorpian in the Maze North of Tanrongi...Its like an Argo scorpian but alot Stronger... it killed 4 of my members and i Ran the whole way out of the Maze!! When we looked back at it it hit at 312 the highest which was a lvl13 blm and a mnk took 237 and the warriors took around 206, Thats a Strong SOB The Warriors and Mnk were LVL 15-17. Im only lvl 17 but DAMN.. If anyone one can get a picture of this Please doo I didnt get a chance to get its name I was to Busy Healing ppl before they died My Cure 2 and Benediction wasnt enough to heal them One other WMG and Me a WMG got out but Like I said DAMN. neither of us saw what it was the party left after that incident and i havnt seen it in the maze since, someone let me know if you see it we were getting close to the coral for the windusrt mission 4.?/!!!:eek:

I was in... uh, Ranguemont yesterday (The very beginning, through the door looked hard) and there's like a window thing I saw a scorpian. It looked scary... it was only Tough though :\

I SAW A lvl 32 adventurer attackin that dhamel i saw he was hitting it at 104+ and it was hitting him at 65 pretty tough creature!!!

Erm... if he was hitting for 100 and only level 32, the Dahmel probably was pretty easy.

Yeah, there's a quest in Bastokwhere you have to fight a Crab. It was "Impossible to gauge" to me at 15, but then a level 13 monk came and soloed it and lost about 1/10 of his life. So I decided to attacked it and it gave me about 25 EXP.

Next to the Scroll SHop in Bastok Markets there is a house w/ a woman in it. After you talk to her you have to go talk to a young Galkan above the Armor Shop in Bastok Markets. Then you will need a Quus fish. Either buy it or fish behind the Lighthouse west of Bastok, near the coast (apparently). Then when you have the fish go by the Lighthouse and examine some plants around there, one will have some ???. Trade the fish to the plant and the crab will pop up. You get 550gil so don't spend too much on the fish, if you buy it.

CHECK OUT THIS BEAUTY IN WEST SANTAUBURA IT NEVER ATTACKED BUT SHOOK THE GROUND WALKIN AND THE STRENGTH WAS TO HIGHT TO MEASURE!!

I fought Gigantoad earlier this morning (as lvl 30 thf / 15 war with merc. capt. equipment) and got beat down badly. Two of the people in the pt I was in got killed in one hit (it did like 500-600 HP of damage to them) and it killed myself and a lvl 30 war (with cent. equipment) in like 2-4 hits (was hitting us for high 200s damage). Yeah, so that thing kicked our butts real bad. Oh, and we didn't even make a dent in it's HP guage.

So... Has anyone killed one of the Gigantic event monsters yet? And if so what is the reward? Man, I am at work right now but as soon as I get home I am logging on and gonna try to get in an alliance to take Gigantoad down! I want revenge :biggrin:
