I am not in the beta :( and i have some questions for anyone who played FFXI .....

1 - Is there camping in the game ?? waiting in the same spot for 20 min or so for a monster that drop nice loot or quest item?

2 - What about loading time when entering a new zone ? its short ??

3-Could anyone tell me about the downtime in this game , i played EQ and it take a lot of time to regen after battle , my 55 wizard need like 15-20 min to get his mana from zero to full without mana regen spells.

4 - I love casting and nucking :) , caster role or sucks in this game :)

5 - one last question :) , Could anyone tell me more about communcation in this game , can i send private massage , can i create chat channel :)

1. Usually people only camp when they need an item or XP, but from beta its in parties and its not too bad

2. For me its a few seconds

3. After battle you can kneel and heal/get magic points back

4. Mages are nice, its good to get a healer in a party, I dunno about blackmages tho since I have never partied with one

5. You can send PMs by /tell, a linkshell is basically a chatroom channel for a certain amount of people

1. Ahem Corran. People camp for HNMs. People has been camping for ages for behemoth and behemoth king.

2. Fairly short.

3. Healing magic is tedious, but it does take a couple minutes unless you are summoner. SUmmoner get this ability at lvl 25 I think that automatically regains mp.

4. Casters are very important in the. In ragnarok, there are too little casters. It sounds like in beta, there are too many.

5. You can /tell them or you can use your linkshell as a way of communication. THe third way is to use your pol mail.

Everyone in beta seems to be a redmage or a warrior
I probably seen one blackmage and a few others as a subjob but still not many


I dunno about the higher monster spawns because im still only 16
