K, I was just wondering what kinda instruments you can make, where you get materials, what skills they require, etc. Thankee kindly.

The guild you want for instruments is Carpentry (I think it's called Woodworking or something in Beta). There are recipes for various instruments on Eriwilde's FFXI website: http://db.davidbowie.jp/eriwilde/ffxi/guilds/carpenters.html#

If I were you, though, I'd just buy most of the instruments from the music shop located in Bastok. It's much cheaper.

Oh yes, and the types of instruments you can make includes flutes and harps.
