Massive Raids

I just wanted to know if there is any massive raids in FFXI? Raids that take like 30 people to do, not just little party raids. Well I saw a cutscene with 2 guys talking in San d'Oria port talking about the 2 princes organizing a raid or something. Well if you can answer my question it would be great.

You can get an alliance. Max for an alliance is 18 people I think. I forgot, I haven't played the game in a while.

Anyways u can have 6 ppl in a party at once but u can do a three-party-fusion which allows u to have up to 24 ppl in a party to all gang up and kick sum monster's ass in. Sound fun? It is. :biggrin:

Let me make this alittle clearer, when i mean raid i mean 30 people all going to some a big orc camp and just kill everything in sight, like the EQ raids....big raids that take place like once a week. Are there any of those?

Not the kind where you ally with another party just to fight one monster. I hope thats more understandable.

Thats not a raid thats jus a shit load of ppl just trying to get sum kills in before dinner it all dependes on how many ppl r in the area.:biggrin:

Well it is like....... King Behemoth's fight, a bunch of ppl all try to go at him all at once and try to get the final blow to kill em' then they will get a shit load of experiance.

That is the most closes thing that i can think that comes near this concept "raid".:thumbsup:

yeah we can start a huge raid and take over all the lands so we can get crystals and supplys there....hehe....it bothers me that in beta we dont even control the lands outside of the gates.

lol i dont know anything about fusion..but last night on beta i had the funnest battle ever.....it was trickster kinetix(dancing weapon NM of qufim) Vs 40 pissed off people....no drops or anything...just for the fun of it.....there were so many warriors i could hardly see him half the time..thats how many warriors were on the front line

If u took the time to read properly u will see that "Beta is a TEST version" not the real version. (Beta testers....... wut is the world comin' too:p )

you can only have 3 parties allied for a total of 18 people, there is no 4 party alliances, I don't know where you got this idea.
And that Weapon NM in quiffim does drop items, I think I got an axe from him before, bst only I believe.

And whoever landed the final blow on King Behemoth doesn't get anything because everyone fought him after someone did /help. If the name is orange, anyone can attack, and no one gets any experience or any drops, regardless if you kill it or not.

The closest thing to a raid I can think of is skill up parties. When people want to level their weapons you get a big group and just kill everything in sight in order to level weapons. People sometimes do this while doing other things, for example helping other people with missions, just bring a weapon you want to level and kill em all.

I think he's only appeared once on rag, don't know though. I haven't heard of people beating him on rag by themselves.
