nope not at all... maybe you could get invites until level 20 or so but a bard really needs to heal... if for some reason you really really wanted to try something else besides rdm/whm a more melee oriented sub would be more useful, but still bard is expected to heal.

Umm if your in beta yes Bard is viable no matta what sub you got. The highest bard right now has a sub of BST. The only trouble i had gettin a group was in the dunes and that was because the group only had 1 spot and i had a war friend wit me. hell i even take a few hits and stuff since my sub is a monk.
