a ? about Norg

Just heard from someone today taht the only way to get to Norg is via airship, was curious if someone could confirm that for me. If so thats gonna slow me down a bit while heading for the Nin and Sam jobs. The rumor is also flying that expansion will be made available in beta before its said and done, personally id just be happy to get my hands on retail version ASAP.

Since Norg is located in the Elshimo Lowlands, yes...you do need your airship pass before you can get there. However, since we don't have NIN/DRG/SAM yet, there's really no point in going there...hell, the area might not even be open right now for all we know =P

luckily for all you non rank 5 people (are there any rank 5 people?) the airship pass to kazham is easy to get. The quest is to go get three treasure chest keys, one from yughott grotto, palborough mines, and giddeus.
All of these are pretty easy to get if you're over level 30, then again, if you're under level 30, there isn't really a reason to go to kazham or norg.

and you guys would be lucky, there are now chocobos in kazham, making it a hell of a lot easier getting to norg (can't ride choco through sea serpents grotto though). When expansion first came out, had to run through the jungle, and there is stuff there that will still aggro you at 55.

and if you want to know if expansion areas are even available, just go to airship dock opposite of windhurst one in port jueno, if you can get quest, then you can probably go to kazham. and go to zerhun mines in bastok, there is a guard at the gate as soon as you go in, if he lets you pass into korlokka tunnel, then expansion is in the game.

I knew Musashi would hook me up :biggrin: Nah the expansion areas arent in right now, this was more a question for me planning for retail. Well Musashi i think it will finally be time for a change, thinking of thf in retail up until i get nin, maybe sub war just so getting a pt is easier.

As far as i know the highest lvls are in the early 40s in game, met a 40 blm today. I havent seen any rank 5 ppl, but ya never know. Glad to know i can get to Norg if need be, without having to get rank 5, thanks again man :thumbsup:
