Success rate of Steal?

Does anyone know what factors exactly determine the success rate of steal? Obviously the monster has to have items, but I can't seem to figure out what exactly determines it from my end. I would think it would have to do with TP and the monster's and my level, but I'm not sure. :confused: I'd appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

From personal experience, I think Steal's rate is constant based. You'll just recieve better items from higher level monsters...
Consider it to be an equilateral difficulty slant to the monsters you fight (despite the counterintuitive fact that it's just as hard to steal from easy monsters..)...

Like coffer open rate, I believe steal success rate goes with ur main lvl. Ages ago, a War60/THf can steal as well as a thf 60. not sure now. .... And probably, different items have different steal success rate.

But i am still not sure which stats affects steal stats, Int, Agi or ...?
