See topic above.
My cooking skill is 40, but I've yet to make a profit on anything I cook. Am I missing something here? :dead:

Nope, unfortunately I have a 56k connection that only allows 90 hours per month. After that, they start charging you for every minute past that. The only thing I've been able to make that I can break even at is usually Mithra BBQ, Tomato Juice, and Melon Juice I think.

Wow, your isp is horrible!!!! Not only is it 56k, it has a time limit! Thats your problem right there. You need to bazzar your food. People do buy them. Just put on your bazzar when you're playing. People still look at them even though you're active.

Yep,, my ISP stinks :dead:
Besides bazaaring, is there anything that you can sell at the AH that you can profit from? The only thing I can think of is Yagudo Drink, but that's at skill 55-60 I think.
to make profit you have to hunt resources instead of buy them :P
hunt cocatoris for meat and fire elementals for crystals for example.
most people buy resources for skill up and so no they don't really care to make profit so much.
juices... will never be profitable
Awntawn

but isn't it more profitable to just sell the resources then? :P

Question: I never found a use for those lump crystals. Is there a way to break them down into the smaller crystals? Or do the elementals sometimes drop the smaller crystals as well? (i've hunted a lot of elementals but they always drop the big lump crystals)

Seriously!? You just go to your inventory and USE it. When you use it, it breaks into a ダース of crystals.
lol I've only got cooking skill at 7 and i've only used fire crystals but i NEVER knew you could break them. lol
Oh where do cocatoris spawn? ;) /looks at Dart's sig, yeah! your coming back, glad to hear it man
Those mofos spawn in meriphataud and sauromogue. They're tough cookies so I recommend lv50 atleast. Treasure hunter 1/2 needed, or its a waste of time.
They're also in Terrigan and Onzozo but they require high level PTs.
I got my culinary skill to 37 and it was pretty much a waste of gil and time. Kebabs reaked in little profit, and hunting the items required in the recipe was a hassle and a waste of time too. I wish I used the money on making equipment instead.

Does anyone know if you can merge crystals together to make a cluster at all? That would be so much better for selling at the rip-off auction houses in Jeuno. 500g surcharge for a stack of Earth crystals?... Pull the other one!
the crystal i use most are dark and wind crystals, where do those elements appear most?
Dark in Xarcabard and Wind in Theine.
Jonny, screw Jeuno, sell them elsewhere ;/

Buburimu has a ton of Wind Elementals as well. If I stay there for a few hours I can usually walk out with a dozen of those big wind crystals. Good for carpentry. Yay.

lol not really. this is zoey
You may know of the zoey store pos L-6 low jueno right side of pillar. lol I sell my cooking i have lvl 64 and stuck there. You make no money or barely. yes juice u make nothing all juice. yags are not profitable maybe 1-200 gil. problem with cooking is alot of ppl do it. as many of you know i sell my kabobs pies and stuff. People always tell me its too much lower it for me. HELL NO. Any lower is cost that is the only price I can make profit. Most ppl make and sell for cost becuase they just want the skills and use cooking mainly for themselves. for example making your own juice in pts save space.Hunting tabars I suggest lvl 53 at least at 50 some still raku and cast pertrify or go lvl 60 to onzozo with 2 ppl is nice tons of dinos there, 3 if one of you not a mage. Also since price for fire has nearly tripled what it was before making certain foods is even more unappealing.
Like others say you need to hunt your ingredients but even then tons of ppl sell less so making profit can be slow or none I bazzar so i can sell. If you wanna make money faster I suggest you stop cooking and try another guild. I myself started alchemy already.
Also you cant merge crystals I wish. But if you can bazzar its actually better to break and sell that way. You can easily sell thunders and wind for 150 fire for 240 in jeuno <BUY BYE>

True lol. Leveling culinary skill like crazy..... then put in bazaar or use it during pt
I always find who in my LS that high lvl and need kabob. Then ask them hunt those meat(a stack) for me and in return, I buy other ingredient and take 2~4 stack of those kabob and the rest give him.
