THF/WAR Pluses and Minuses

Well, I don't really know what stats are increased with WAR as support, but at THF LVL30 you can use WAR LVL15's Berserk ability, with boosts your attack but lowers your defense. Not a problem since you won't be getting attacked anyway ;)

You can also use the Taunt ability as a last minute emergency if the other tanks can't take aggro off the mages, but it usually fails.(at least in my experience)

I'm lvling thf to 30 right and have foung the thf/war combo to be very good. So far in the pts I've been in my Sneak Attack does the most damage out of everbody's attack (ranging from 60-110 depending on the enemy), having high dex ensures that I hit often (w/ frequent criticals), evasion bonus makes sure that I don't get hit often, and provoke lets me act as a tank if need be. I pretty much play my thf as a war (I use a sword, small sword at the moment, love the +2 dex) and have been enjoying it. I don't really have anything negative to say about this combo... not sure about how it would fair at the higher levels though... anyway, I think thf/war is worth trying :biggrin:

If you get a chance Jabeo, try using Knuckles with your THF/WAR combo. You'll notice you do a little bit more damage with Back Attack/Combo weapon skill than using a 1H Sword. But since you're LVL30, it might not be worth the effort since you'll be awesome with a Dagger once you hit LVL33.
