ok i understand that having a PAL/WAR puts up def and down str as for DEK/WAR puts up str and down def. but say i didnt want any of those. say i were to be a WAR my whole life, how would that come out in the end. i would have a in between of str and def right? so its almost like a PAL?DRK right? thxs
pure warrior is tuned towards attacker ^^ while having the potential to tank and take quite good amount of hits too. warrior is always nice to have as a "renkei connector", they are expected to be able to use almost all kinds of weapons out there.
and because they have quite a nice skill in 2 hand weapons too... 2 hands weapons are always more powerful than 1 handed.
in comparison to PLD and DRK.
PLD is purely defender. can take a lot of hits. later on PLD's task is to keep target on them and no one really care if the PLD is doing damage or not :)
DRK is purely attacker. They can't take hits so much. a few critical hits and they're dead.

With monk as your sub
Your attack increase
your defense increase
and your speed increase

Indeed it would. The only reason Paladin can't have Mnk is because they need taunt, wich warrior has. Since you're a warrior you don't need to worry about such. ;)

sweet, me give it a try.
Just so I understand here... you are saying Monk makes a good sub for a warrior.
That being the case... start out as monk then switch to warrior?
If so, what level should I switch from monk to warrior?

you get the sub job quest at level 20 so you should either train your monk or warrior to 20 and after the quest you should train warrior or monk
