Importing regrets

Well, i have it, its in my hands now. Now what? I really wanted it. But i feel regreting buying it. But when i think about how i have to wait for the NA release i can play right now. Ugh, i have terrible mixed feelings. Anyone had this before?

You've put way too much stress and pressure on getting the game. Probably due to the year or two you've been waiting for it. But remember, its just a game. Install it and have fun. The US release is still a ways off, and at worst you can always buy the US version and keep your characters while being a pro at the game when all the n00bs come flooding in by the masses. You should consider yourself fortunate!:thumbsup:

Yeah...I also bought the import just recently, but why have mixed feelings? I mean the NA release isn't for at least another 5 months, thats a LONG time...and if you bought it in the first place, why change your mind now?

You'll have alot of time to enjoy the game (and more experience) before any of the newbie NA people come rushing in...then you'll be able to switch your character over onto their servers and kick some ass :biggrin:

It took me a day to install my Beta because at first I didnt care.

You can always keep it...if your some Final Fantasy fan that loves to get everything *I might do that ;0*

Its a really great game, you should just install it ^^
The only regret you might have is you wont know whats happening in the mission quests. But I was told theres a guy to talk to so you can watch all the cutscenes again. You can always do that for the NA ver. :thumbsup:

download emulators and play some other FF :rolleyes: those are free and will keep you occupied for a while

My only regret is that my somewhat busy schedule does not allow me to play it as much as I would like to. Doesn't mean the game doesn't kick alot of ass. :thumbsup:

Yeah, just install yours and play it. Besides, you haven't lived until you go through the pleasure of installing the japanese version.............Don't do it, RUN, FF11 will consume you, your life will end and you WILL DIE from starvation and lack of sleep........

I'm Mad at myself for Importing/waiting all this time for FFXI...... i've waited about 8 months, all for a game if i had to rate it, i would give it a 5. it isnt that good... not that good at all.. and i have to reformat my hard drive soon. so good bye ffxi. ^_^ and goodbye everyone here at FFXIonline.com, to tell you the truth, the wait, was more fun then the game. /sigh c ya. not off to waiting for HL2, Doom 3 and FFX-2. ^_^

Don't import if you can't read Japanese, its as simple as that. You shouldn't rely on translation guides if your trying to have fun in this game...

Well, its not whether or not you can read japanese (honestly, I cant read a single character). I learned enough to get past the registration. The rest is pretty much instinct or using guides to help.

The main thing is...do you have the patience it takes to deal with a foreign language?

If you were the guy who hated being in spanish class or whatever, then importing probably isnt for you.
