Chocobo digging

I've tried this quite a bit now, and everytime i get nothing. Is there a trick to it? Are there specific spots that are much better for digging that others? Any help would be great.

I dunno, I was just running around La Theine and said, "I'll dig here," and I got an Arrowwood log. Damn shame that it's worthless, because the other 11 random spots I dug at got nothing.

It's basickly just like the RNG's scavage, sept you have to pay for the greens to feed the chocobo to do it :p I haven't heard of anyone getting anything cool yet. But I'm sure there are some good things to find/~

I used 12 Greens and all I got were some pugil scales :o (in Konschat)
