Scroll of Instant Warp

Because I'm a WHM from San d'Oria, there is nothing (and I do mean nothing ) from the list of Conquest tiems that's of any use to me, so I wanted to spend it on the "Scroll of Instant Warp".

But...

Just as I was about to, it occured to me: what will this thing actually DO when I use it? Will it send me to any Crag? Any Crag I have the crystal for? Anywhere? Anywhere I've been before? My home point (god forbid)?

These points might not be of any real use to me directly, but I'm not gonna waste em on something that'll send me god knows where. I'd rather buy something else and sell it at AH.

So, can anyone tell me what they do exactly, from personal expereince?

(Heh heh, to put this in context, I've been on a shopping spree in Windurst, and wanna go home to San d'Oria now. This struck me, initially at least, as the best way to do that, rather than hiking it all the way...)

and on another note, if it's actually called "scroll of instant warp", it's a liar and should die.
the thing takes freakkin forever to use.
you get attacked and start using it, most of the time you'll warp back to you HP and find yourself dead.

Call me crazy, but I don't think they made it as a means to get out of a close battle.

most of the time we use it while coffer hunting, or going deep into some dangerous area and you can't be a whm and teleport out, or sub blm for dezone.
I've gotten two of my coffers and I was lucky enough so that when I opened them, I didn't get attacked and was forced to use my dezone scroll, so I'll save it for a future emergency.

I think the scroll is to be used in dire emergencies, especially when you know that the battle isn't going your way and (for some reason or another) disengaging and then trying to find your way to zone out of that map is nearly impossible.

I had to use mine in the Parlborough (sp?) mines last week when I got ambushed by 3 Quadav's that were decent challenge and at that time I hadn't healed prior to battle. Had to use the scroll immediately or face losing XPs ...
