1 handed swordsmen

I was thinking Im just gonna be a warrior my whole life well its gonna be my main job and I was thinking if a warrior would still be good if he only used 1 handed swords? You guys are probably thinking oh why not just be a paladin instead but I dont like how paladins are weak so Im sticking with War

1HS aren't warriors best weapons, 1h and 2h Axes are. But anyways at a warrior you will be suspected to train in as many different weapons as possible. So just going with one wouldn't be wise.

ya i know I just hate using axes tho I just thought there was a way to just use your 1 hand sword and still be an effective attacker you know what I mean

Yeah, its cooler to be slashing your enemie with the blade of your sword than pulling up a huge axe and let it fall against your enemie... And then again...? I'm not sure.
By the way, how does a little taru hold an axe...?

paladins are the best with 1 hand swords
Ninjas are the best with 1 hand katanas
samurais are the best with 2 hand katanas

Just like Starvinartist said, warrior should have more than one weapon skills. You need 1H sword up until certain level, but at the same time you need other weapons for renkei. People expect you to use many weapons. If a warrior only use 1H sword, I wouldn't even invite him in my party. I used to use 1H sword and other weapons (1H and 2H axe, Spear and sometime grapple), but stop using 1H sword around lvl 50 since I learned spinning axe. 1H axe has more powerful ws compared to 1H sword.
