2H Katana's....

Are 2H katana's placed on the backs of the characters like 2H swords, spears and 2H axes?

Or are they resting on the side, like 1H swords (like how real samurai and ninji wear them)?

I'm not an import player or anything like that but I definately saw screenshots of a samurai holding his sword by his side. I believe it was a screenshot of the player nodachi holding a lvl 50 blue handled katana.

yeah all katanas are next to the hip - both 2H and "1H".
