About hacked pics

About two days ago i found a post that had pictures of some hacked armor and other stuff.I can't find it now.If you find it plz tell me.Thank you a lot.

Yes its possible. But you can only hack stuff that does not effect gameplay. The level cap right now is lvl 70. I can hack a character thats wearing lvl 80 or lvl 81 armor. No one else see's me wearing this armor, and the armor does not change my stats or add extra defense. It's only for looks so people can see the hacked items before it's released. It's all for pure satisfaction. It's easy to explain how to do it. All you do is back up the original dat file you want to replace and replace it with the new armor. But knowing which of the 27000+ files in your playonline folder is what armor is the hard part. No I won't teach you how to figure it out because I'm tired of typing and answering questions that have been answered before. They have more threads in teh screenshots section of adamant armor which is lvl 81, those are hacked pics. You can find some there.

It doesnt effect the game, usually these are just for looks (Although there are some that are bad)

look i wasnt lookin for an explanation on what the hacks did cus i already new wat they did. i was just lookin to see if any one new where i could find some pictures of the hacked armor and other equipment.but thank you for saying wat they did just incase i didnt no.thank you:) :spin:

Actually, many legal hacks are client side hacks. In ffxi's case, it is harmless, but this is not the case for many other hacks. The government has declared that anything on our computers can be legally modified, so client side hacks are legal. Not too sure about packet editing, but I'm pretty sure those are legal too. It's not "some are bad," its most are bad.

^^ this kind of hack is simply a "Graphic file replacement"

so no it's not against the rule or anything ^^ you can only see the replaced graphics on your own machine.

someone even play around and replace "rabbits" models with
"shadow lord" models before ^^ pretty funny.

Can only that one client that is swaping models see it? Like when you swap models in CounterStrike, only you can see it unless the server has the same ones, or something like that. It's the same thing here right? Because I've never seen anything like this before ingame, only pictures.

From what they are sayin, yes only you can see em jes like in CS...but my CS always lagged wen i put in new skins so im not doin that on any game anymore:sweat:

I just said look at the screenshots section.. they have a bunch of pics of adamant armor and stuff which are lvl 81 hacked pictures. As for how to do it, I also explained that too!!! You should really read more carefully.

Its just to see what it looks like. Others wont see it so theres no harm there. All they are doing is replacing files, what you/other perceive as hacking on FFXI is called modifying. nuff said.
