The mouse for PS2 is required sorta but u can make it where u only need ur kb(key board) to play.I'm not sure how but u can use the keyboard to move and type so u dont need to use the mouse.I hope this helps sum what.

Since when do you need the mouse i thought you can use the controler? Isnt that why everybody is waiting for the ps2 realese?

no u don't need a mouse.... and i'm not even sure if the game actually support one....
