World... Shifter?

I know it's some sort of item that's supposed to be able to move your character onto another server, but besides that, I don't know much else about it. I have a few questions regarding it;

1.) Does it let you pick which server you'll be moving to, or is it random? (If the name is already used up, I assume it'll just not let you pick that server..)

2.) It WILL transfer your items as well, right?

3.) Is it instantly available at some NPC store, or do you have to hunt for it elsewhere?

The worldshifter is not an item. It's an npc. When a server gets too full, a worldshifter is availible. You get to switch to a server, but I think it's random. Of all the servers availible, only the not so populated ones are availbe to shift to. There is no penalties when you shift worlds using world shifters. You keep all exp and all items.

Ah... Okay. That makes sense. Just out of curiosity, where are they placed at when the server gets too full?

I'm not exactly sure where they are placed, but once it's availible, I'm sure someone can tell you.

Has a list been released on what JP servers will be have World Shifters and what servers can world shift to which? For example, Ragnarok Server will only be able to shift to X US server, while Titan Server can only shift to Y US Server.

There is usually a notification when the world shifter is availible. It is only availible to servers taht is over populated, and if only moves you to servers that are under populated. I'm not exactly sure if it is random or not. A bunch of neo gundan people shifted when it was first availible in ragnarok.

I had dis happen before, one of ma freinds told a GM dat he wanted to be on a different server...... and the Gm told him next World Shifter and when it came the GM transported him to his server of choice.

I think dat ya need a reason for leavin'?:cool:
