Questions about FFXI PS2 Beta kit

Hi--

I apologize if this has been asked before/posted elsewhere-- I just cannot seem to find it ^^

Right now I'm a beta tester for the PS2 version of FFXI. I have 3 questions:

1. Will my character information be deleted upon the return of the HDD to SCEA at the end of the beta, or will it actually be transfered to the HDD they're supposed to send me afterwards?

2. When exactly does the beta testing end?

3. In the game I see people with customised titles (like when you hit "check", the message window comes up with "<character name>'s title: blah." I know mine says Decurion, but I was wondering how people change theirs.


Any help answering these would be greatly appreciated ^^ And again I apologize if these have already been brought up, I'm still a bit new here.

1. very likely to be "no".... most betas do not allow u to keep your char because, as they might say, not fair to the new players who aren't in beta

2. we r guessing Sept. from the iGame add.... but no official words yet

3. no idea cuz i don't have the game.... yet:biggrin: someone answer this pls:sweat: :handsdown

Characters are not stored in the hdd. The hdd is only used for patches and expansions. Your character is in the server.

They're stored in the sever? Ahh. I guess they're going to wipe it clean when it does start up then ><

I wish they would let the beta testers keep their characters-- that way there would be some advanced players when the game started up, rather than have to go through the long and drawn out process of leveling back up and completeing missions (I for one do *not* want to go back into the Pal. Mines in Bastok for a while.. ><).

that's the reason why pple r saying that u shouldn't do lvling up so much in beta....

but from my beta exp.... it still helps u to lvl up a lot faster than a first timer.... u know exactly what to do and where to go to.... while others wonder around and waste time;)
