Dragoon Artifact Armor Stats

Now that the DRG AF has been released, I'm very excited about all the bonuses and whatnot it gives you and your wyvern. Without further ado, here's the pieces and what they do.

Level 60 - ƒhƒ‰ƒPƒ“ƒA?[ƒ?ƒbƒg (Helmet)
Def 16 - HP+12 - MND+5 Wind+10
Increases damage of Wyvern's breath attack (This is an assumption. It mentioned the Wyvern's breath. It's either an increase in dmg, or the addition of a new breath.)

Level 58 - ƒhƒ‰ƒPƒ“ƒ?ƒCƒ‹ (Draken Mail)
Def 38 - HP+15 - VIT+4 - Water+10
Gives your Wyvern insta-regen. (SWEET!!)

Level 56 - ƒhƒ‰ƒPƒ“ƒtƒBƒ“ƒK?[ (Draken Finger)
Def 15 - HP+11 - DEX+3 - Parry Skill +10
Increases your Wyvern's accuracy.

Level 54 ƒhƒ‰ƒPƒ“‚®‚è?[ƒ” (Draken Greaves)
Def 10 - HP+12 - AGI+3 - Dodge Skill +5
Increases the damage of Jump.

Level 52 - ƒhƒ‰ƒPƒ“ƒuƒŒ?[ (Pants)
Def 27 - HP+15 - Earth+10
Increases effectivity of Enchanted Circle (def against dragon monsters.)

Total HP +65 (yay)

For the Draken Finger, I think it's parry skill (Žó‚¯—¬‚µ) + 10, not accuracy.

As for the helmet's effect on the wyvern's breath, that one's got me puzzled too. "ƒuƒŒƒX‚ðŒø‰Ê“I‚ÉŽg‚¤"?
"To use breath more effectively"? What the heck does that mean?

I guess more damage? Also more healing for heal breath? That would be nice.

Overall, not a bad bunch of stats for the AF. I just wish I had some pet commands.

I also wish that my AF lance looked like something unique rather than my old lance. I'm getting tired of looking at that same model all the time :)

And yeah, it would be nice if I could be able to actually tell my wyvern what to do as opposed to having him just attack if I'm attacking. But what'cha gonna do :3

Those stats look right. I saw a guy in full DRG AF yesterday in Jeuno and almost fainted! I must have taken over 300 screen shots from every angle. I jotted down all the stats too. I was hoping someone else would know what the "Breath" enhancement is.

Oh, and the english name for the Helmet is Draken Armet. Im not to sure what you would call the pants in english though. I dont think they're derived from an english word to begin with.

Also, I'm not sure if this is the AF Spear or not, but here's what the guy had:

Just a bit of info: These SS were taken at AH in the Ru'Lude Gardens in Jeuno. I'm so happy, I couldn't have picked a better day to decide to take my first trip to Jeuno!

I'd also like to note that SS dont do this armor justice. It's soooo shiny! I love the way light reflects off of this armor. Sqaure's artisits did a remarkable job on the visuals.

Here's a shot from the back. Just another comment, I immediately went out and bought a Spear when I saw this armor. I leveled it up in no time. It's a nice change of pace compared to using nothing but a Shield and a 1h Sword. I'm seriously in love with the whole Dragoon image now.

Heheh.. nice shots, man. I saw a Galka in full Drg AF today in Jeuno. It was interesting to say the least <^^> I'm a bit tired of seeing elvaan in it though, so it was a nice change of pace.

Hopefully once I get level 60 and all my AF, I'll post screens <^^;> But that won't happen for a while, waiting for SB to catch up level-wise.

Regarding the "effective breath use" of the AF helmet, I read on a Japanese BBS about how it influences the wyvern's "heal breath" ability.

Keep in mind now, I haven't been able to verify this personally and I haven't seen other web sites talk about it in too much detail, so take it with a grain of salt :) It does seem fairly reasonable, though.

Anyway, regularly "heal breath" requires you or one of your party memebers' HP to be at 1/3 before it can be triggered. With the AF helmet equipped, the HP requirement is only 1/2.

Sounds great for soloing, but does anyone really solo at level 60? Oh well, I wonder how it affects the offensive breaths....

Well I just hope I dont get hated on for when I create my elvaan dragoon. I live in the U.S. and am STILL waiting for its release here. Although there may be many Elvaan Dragoons now its still new to me I made this choice almost 2 years ago and am sticking with it. Seeing the AF Armor locks in my decision even more. Just need to get a subjob.

Unless Square makes the second set of AF nothing more than a color change, no, you can not pick any color other than purple.

And yes, you have to find the armor.. in a way. You complete quests for it, some involving NM fights, others you can get from a coffer if you have accepted the quest... (I think).

Damn... seeing that has made me consider seriously changing my plans from a main of Red Mage to a Dragoon...

Anyways, the purple armor is sick, I am just glad it's not red or orange or something. Purple would be my second choice and IMO it fits the class.

It resizes to fit the race it is on. But AF gear aren't tradeable so you can't give it away.

I've never really considered Dragoon as a playable job since I don't much like being TANKERS!! However, they seem to have a bit more customization with their wyvern pet and and choice of armors and roles (at least for a little while) in a group... I think I'm going Dragoon now! (Plus they are dead sexy!!! who doesn't want that?)

I like the purple color scheme on the Dragoon armor. It is so Tron-like. I was going to make a dragoon from the onset, but the armor is just so damn cool!
