Regen added to whm arsenal...

Sigh.. wasn't Regen supposed to be a rdm only spell?
That said, giving the spell to white mages only make sense
(they are masters of healing after all), but it was cool to have a class defining spell at low level (excluding gravity that is not that useful)..
Oh well i hope no one else get refresh and dispel...

p.s. forgot to add: whm get regenII and regenIII (whm ONLY spells not for us rdm)

i am angry that SE gave WHMs regen! not only that but regen II and III are WHM only!!!! regen was one of the class defining spells that gave the red mage it's edge. without it low lvl red mages will be passed up even more frequently in favor of adding a WHM or a second to a party. if we loose anymore red mage-only spells i am going to go crazy!!!

Not to be pessimistic, but I saw something like this coming. Square beefed up RDMs with Regen, Refresh, Convert, Dispel, Phalanax, and raised their one-handed sword skill during the course of just a few patches. Good things don't last forever, so I knew that either RDMs were going to be toned down, or that all the other jobs were going to be tuned up -- in this case it was the latter. Oh well, it's just a part of MMORPGs I suppose.

another sad thing.. the newer level 3-4 black magics. ow square don't let us RDM use them anymore ><~~~ why~~~ I wouldn't mind needing higher level than BLM, but now we can't use them... at all....

That is crap. And even fi they do get the spell, it should be at a later level, like 25/26. And they should give RDMs the upgraded spells as well.

Okay, I understand the concept of giving WHMs Regen. I can even agree with it. It's only right, they're the ones responsible for trying to keep everyone alive, they should have every weapon available to help them do it.

But making Regen II and III WHM ONLY?!

Not only that, but WE'VE always had to suffer with getting the cure spells at later levels than WHMs get it. Why do THEY get Regen at the same level that WE get it?

I agree though..Our AF is still way cooler than theirs..hahaha..At least while I'm not casting Regen II, I can be not casting it while looking like a pimp instead of looking like someone wrapped a kleenex around my head..hahahahaha

Not to mention that most class defining spells for RDM cost a crapload of money, 99% of the lvl 41 rdm wont have refresh for sure, even worse for phalanx at lvl 33...
What's next? Blm with refresh? Paladins with phalanx?

Jei, I'm pretty sure RDM will still be able to use the new black magic. RDM can already use Stone III and Aero III now - they just didn't mention RDM for the others because the level cap won't allow RDM to use them yet. Try looking for the spells in AH or shops and see what the RDM level is for them ;)

As for Regen, like I stated in another thread, I think it's all for the best. I don't want to waste my time doing something a WHM should be doing when there are better things I can be doing with my MP. It's pretty clear why RDM can't use Regen II or III too. Imagine a RDM's soloing power with Refresh, Phalanx and Regen III. There would come a point where the RDM would be unstoppable, even in solo.
