Hehe I wonder if Ill do this for every artifact, but on to the subject. I have a few questions about RDM AF2 that if I could get help on it would be greatly appreciated.

1. Where do I get this pocketwatch? Ive searched in the AH and have not found it.

2. Who do I trade the Velvet to inorder to get the Old Boots?

3. Do I talk to Curilla first, then get the old boots and talk to her again? Or is the first time I talk to her after getting the boots?

4. How do I bury the items at the ???, do I just trade them?

5. How do I dig them up when the time is right? Do I just click on the ???, ?.

Any help would be great :) Thank you.

i don't know about pocket watch. I don't remember having it.

all I did was get the quest offer and go talk to the NPC underground of church right away. there's only 1 NPC down in that room. talk to him and bring back birode (velvet?) and trade to him. if you do it right you'll see a cut scene of elvaan RDM.

this part requires you to go back and talk to Curilla quite often. so just to make sure go back and talk to her. (actually i forgot when to talk :) )

go to CN, hunt for key and open chest for importatnt item.

(here again, after got important item i can't remember if you are require to talk to Curilla or not...)

and then look for ???, when you check it you should get the option to bury your important item down there.

if you know CN map. from the top floor there's 2 way going to the lower floor. 1 way leads to the Donut room. you need the other way. on your way down a little past the room with doom scorpion you'll see ???. there's soldier crawler around that spot too.

Im having trouble with Mushusu dropping the key :(. How long did the key take to drop for others with RDM AF2?

i don't know if mushusu still dropping key (it should) but try hunt exorays. I hunt them for mushrooms last week and they drop chest keys all the time.

Well I have a chest key that was dropped by a hornfly. But it doesnt exactly match the key on Eriwildes site, will it still give me the Crawlers Humor I need?

I just did AF2 last week so it's still pretty fresh in my mind..Let me go through with you what I did..That way, even if you've finished it by now, anyone ELSE reading this can get some help^^

Just talk to the people in the order you are supposed to talk to them. The guide is a little unclear on this, but the "items" you need are BLUE items, not actual physical inventoried items. You will get the correct items if you have talked to the people correctly. The velvet, you will actually need to purchase from the auction house. That's the only physical item you need though, aside from the Crawler's Nest key.

A REGULAR Crawler's Nest key (not a coffer key) is all you need. If you're lucky, you might already have one that got dropped during a regular PT. They drop from Exorays, Hornflies and the like pretty regularly, so if you're a red mage and you get a nest key, DON'T go looking for a chest until you've accepted AF2 and taken care of all the talking stuff.

The person you need to talk to in the cathedral, BTW, is in the lower level in a side room. When you trade him the velvet, you will get an event that features a ghostly figure in RDM AF gear (possibly only partial gear, was difficult to say because you don't see him very clearly)

After you're sure you've talked to everyone you need to talk to, take your key to the nest. For those who are unfamiliar with the nest and don't have a map, let me sum up briefly how to get around to where you need to go. I suggest printing up a treasure hunting map that lists all the chest pop points, makes this VERY easy.

When you enter the nest, you will drop off the edge of a cliff before too long, because there's really no other direction to go from there. Once you've dropped off the cliff (BTW, for the love of god, from the MOMENT before you drop off onward, you will need ot keep SNEAK on at ALL TIMES..And occassionally will need Invisi also) ..STAY PUT for a second to get your bearings. To your left you will see two tunnels side by side. To your right you will see two more. And straight ahead there are two more, 6 total tunnels. The third tunnel from the left leads to the donut room. That room contains several chest pop points. The 5th tunnel from the left (2nd from the end) leads to the ??? that you need to check, and it also leads to the 2nd cliff dropoff that leads to MORE tunnels, and the rest of the chest pop points are in this area.

Once you find the chest, trade the key, get a blue item, then all you have to do is click on the ???. Then go back after one earth day has passed (has to be after 00:00 JST) and click on the ??? again. You don't have to wait next to it or anything, feel free to leave the nest, log out, whatever in between the two ??? touching. As soon as you touch the ??? again after 00:00 JST, you will receive your boots. Don't have to talk to anyone or do anything special..Just take your boots. ^^

I'm about to do this myself too, although I hate Crawler's Nest - last party we had in there, I got my ass very sorely kicked when I discovered that you need invisi for the beetles.

Anyway, according to other sites, it seems you get the Pocket Watch from Curilla and take to the person in the basement of the cathedral.

As for the key, it is the 蟲穴の箱のカギ. It's dropped by Mushussu, Exoray. Hornfly, Blazer Beetle, Labyrinth Lizard, Soul Stinger and some Rumble Crawlers (higher level ones).

Remember, Sneak for crawlers, Invisi for beetles ;) And hopefully you've got your SP left and sub BLM so you have an instant dezone for emergency use.

I was able to solo AF2 a week ago since I had the Crawler's Nest key stashed in my mog house since level 40. Just have Inivisi + Sneak casted the entire time you're there until you find the chest. When you do, just cancel Invisi manually and trade the key to it. Do the same thing for the ??? and wait one day, the hardest part of the quest. :D

I've had the key for a long time too. Anyone know if the chest respawns immediately or quickly, at least? I'll probably just log off next to the ??? so I don't have the hassle of traversing the nest again the next day, though from what I read it seems like if you do the first part any time before midnight, you can check the ??? at 00:00 regardless of how little time has passed.

I dont think Treasure Chests spawn immediately, I beleive that once opened they spawn 15 minutes later. Just to let you all know I did successfully get my AF2 and also my armguard :) Thanks for all the help.

Spent the last few hours trying to get this... no luck so far, will try again tomorrow. Anyone know of any pop spots that aren't marked on the treasure chest map?

I dont yet have a map for crawlers and the site that the map pop points is now offline can any one post that map again for me , thnaks abunch.
cannot beleive I hadnt turned in the clay(monuments) for it yet , silly me.
