As you probably already know the beastmen have retaken Ronfaure due to all of the deaths brought by the PC testers. They only have a small lead to be retaken. To gain conquest points you MUST gain xp in that area. Meaning, higher lvlers can't just run around 1-hit killing "too weaks". You have to gain xp by switching jobs and gaining experience. Dying will decrease points. PC testers, dont feel angry or upset this happened. In the first week for PS2 testers as well. It will come back. We just need to put in the effort....

I have been adding some to the death tally.

BTW what determins how you can get skill raises off a creature? I have noticed that I can get dagger raises on some monsters but on like easy prey I won't get dagger raises. Easy monsters is about all I can kill alone anymore.

Easier monsters give you less experience, as well as less exp for your weapon. But... I think we'll take back Ronfaure in a little bit. All the PC testers are still getting there kits and... dying, because that's the only place to train for them.

I've died a total of 5 times now in my *almost* 9 levels play time the past 1.5 days. I think I'm doing okay....I havent bothered checking Region Info or anthing, so when I log back in Ill see what all the hubbub is about :P

Just cause a monster is the same name doesn't mean it is the same toughness. You should check every creature every fight untill you know an area very well.

The patch did change a few little things, tho. One or two might effect combat a little, if you're not careful. I had a few near death experiences that I wasn't expecting, and so did a few other people I saw.

bah, i dont know how windurst took lead from sandoria, but i do that its no biggy cuz ive gotten all the 1st place items from sandoria already, now bastok needs to be first, so im going to make a windurst character get signet, and die over and over for 3 hours straight.

Thats could be considered an exploit, all though its not, but still thats just cheap.

Lemont decided to join my Linkshell that i had started called The Nanten Knights, So he offered to go buythe LS while he was in San and the rest of us were in Jugner. So he did. I then gave him 2000 towards the LS which was more than my fair share. Now i have to remind you all that there were 6 of us who started the shell Lemont saw my post that says Join our Linkshell on ffxionline and asked if he could join a day or two later. Then he and i argued about how armor looks the same when it is actually different and as a result he kicked me from my own shell, since he was the original buyer. I just hauled ass all the way to Windurst and back on a shopping-spree-from-hell because the economy in San d'Oria is in the crapper. Even while there I went to the trouble of going to our Consulate and having Signet cast on me just for the priciple of the thing. I never ever leave home without it, and still we loose ground to the beastmen. I don't get it, are people dying at regular intervals on que!? Do people just leave the city and never even think about Signet? At least the gap b'n Beastmen and San control of Ron is not as far as the gap b'n beasties and Fraggle (Windurst) control of Sarutabaruta. They have a way to go before they reclaim thier old glory they enjoyed the start of the game.

I'm trying my best and always getting Signet before leaving the San D'Orian grounds into Ranfuare. I'm only lvl 5, but I'm trying my best to keep myself and others alive.

I think its all my fault, cause I die ALOT. I get jumped for no apparent reason out of the blue.

AN example: I was in the Ghalsbat region and was heading towards the orc camp. I crossed the bridge towards the rock lizards, and found that orcs were all over the place. I pick one out that seemed by itself.

Well, needless to say I take it out, and as I run away a mesmorizer starts casting on me. So I run think he'll chase me and I'll get an easy kill away from the rest of them! I turn around, and the whole camp is right there behind me.

I didn't even try fighting back, I just hit Ctrl-] and took a screenshot of the five orcs pounding on me while the mesmorizer casted poison... Its pretty funny to look at.


Also, I've noticed I can't attack a monster too quickly right after finishing off another monster. Thats gotten me a couple deaths right there. I had just finished off two wild sheep, when a thug came up to me and started shanking me. I was at low health and had a full WS. Well I hit attack and went straight for the WS cause I knew it would kill him. But I didn't notice the message I couldn't attack right away and ended up dieing...

Sucks to be me. I always get jumped.

Try being more careful. Please.

Don't go places that are in over your head. You get yourself, and the well-meaning people (read: me) who try to save you, killed. I get a very unpleasant expression on my face when I see a Lv 4 or 5 (you fill in the blank) in Ghelsba, fighting Orcs. If you can die in 4 (or god forbid, less) hits from something, then that something is too hard for you. Go back to the area near the gates, and fight the Pugils if you want a head rush.

It's been especially hard to get Signet because I've been trying Subjob quest and such in Gusgen and the Dunes. My homepoint is in Selbina... and I don't feel like spending 30 minutes each way just to go get Signet. Although, we are close to taking Zulkheim.

Ok now this is messed up....supposedly a bunch of bastok players made San dorian/windhurst chars.Then proceeded to kill them selves repeatedly in order put Bastok in first.
Why?Are they upset that their Gamesharks don't work on this game....or maybe they lack the skill to earn first place.All I know is this...I have reported this to 3 GM's and they are investigating...actions such as these can result in lose of beta testing privilages.

I am a NOOB too, though die maybe three times now. I am using the Signet to help raise the power back to us in Sand'Oria. But I am noticing several that are trying to go out on their own at low levels to till the orc's learned quickly to stay close till my level is up.

Im glad that ppl are realizing that its the new users that are the ones getting killed, blaming everything on bastok isnt right, we got to first fair and square, everyone in bastok is too busy leveling to care about whos in first place, we got into first because all we do is fight, its not fair to judge us, especially if u havent been to bastok, so from now on stop assuming things u kno nothing about, if u see a name above someones head that u dont understand, then sound it out and maybe u will get it, ok, so stop blaming everything on bastok. Well .......I have personally talked to about 9 Bastokians who DID create chars to undermine other regional influences.I understand that they don't represent the whole.I also understand 9 people could not have the impact needed to do this unless they did it for a very long time.....BTW Go San D'oria...lol as of last tally ...we are #1:P
