Disappearing Characters?

Most poeple who played EQOA would be familiar with this: if there are too many people on one screen, you can't see them all and they "appear" as you get nearer. Is it like this in FFXI or do they do a pretty good jjob at showing all the people there.

The worst parts are in jeuno. The whole place is flooded with characters near the auction house. Some take a while before they load. So the answer to your question is yes.
