This is the beginning of my incredible adventures in Vana'diel (sorry if there are spelling errors please don't kill me :()

My friend finall ygot ffxi orking i was ecstatic!!!!!! YAYAYAYYAYAYAYA so i dedided i would paly it and went ahead and mad emy char after making my friend pay another 100 yen hehehee.
I knew i wanted to be elvaan they are so cool!!!!!!! So i picked face 7 type B for that awesome red hair heh and made myself LARGE which does make u really large lol not fat but extremely tall!!!!!!!!!!! I am liek 2 feet taller than medium Humes! Next was job selection...i was thinking of black mage but then i realized elvaans are good warriors so I decided on a red mage! Then I had to name myself...this was a problem hahaha i sat there for 30min rying to decide and iI only came up with Brandomil hahaha very elvish in nature but iI find that all the npc elvaan's sorta have frenchy names LOL anyways....Then i was created but had to pick a hometown!!!!!!!!!!! So i decided why not keep it all elvaan and i went to San D'Oria :D!
After the introductions and some taliking wiht the npc's i started my adventure! I went straight to the EasT Ronfure (again srry if i spell stuff wrong :P) where i made my way killing wild rabbits and tunnel worms. Since i was a red mage the onyl spell i had to start was Dia :( stupid LOl. But i was getting a lot of earth crystals since i had that spell put on me by the guard. Eventually i discovered that i had to kill an orc fodder. Luckily fo rme seeing as i wa sjust level 3 a kind japanese player Ambrossi came to my aid and told me htat he could help me but after killing a few i was not getting an axe so we deiced to split up but we added eachother to friends list and he said jsu tto msg him if i needed help!!!! YAY my first friend. It was after meeting him that i realize di was a giant LOl he was a hume warrior i think neer really asked or bothered to check.
After getting to level 4 i decided to go sell my goods and purchase abetter weapon...unfortunatly the weapon i boght is only good for level 5 charaacters :( so i need ot level up once more to use it *sigh. after being devestated from my bad purchase i decided i wanted a hat haha so i went to the clothing shop and bought a jill valentine hat LOL wel that what i call it..it's sorta liek a beret you knwo ..well if u have palyed resident evil 1 or it's remake on gamecube you know heh I am sure u have seen someone wearing this hat in the game so now i am some tall elvaan guy with red hair in a beret witha dagger that kills rabbits lol...... More soon after i play some more :D

You journal is pretty good, except for the many errors. Some pics to go with your story would be nice, I would like to see your character at that point.

its pretty good but u picked a bad race and class. elvaans arnt good at all with mages if u wanted red mage u shouldeve been hume or tarutaru. or u shouldeve just been a diff class but hey its your disicion not mien and i cant tell u what to do btw nice journal get some pics itll make it a whole lot better

Red Mages are just okay, they are not horrible. They are pretty good at the begining. If I were you, I would be a monk or a warrior. Elvaans look incredibly cool as those classes, and are good at them too.

There are no bad jobs with any race.

This red mage can dish physical damage, and has more HP.:p

a galka blk/wht would have a higher def than a tarutaru blk/wht so it can take more hits

ummmm ur forgeting one huge thing! MP!!!!!! how do you think they will cast there spells with there very low mp even witht he blck/wht job classes they will only have 200-300 tops

I wouldn't go around dissing my job choice :P besides red mages are also good at fighting so :P:P:P lol plus i have to update now but i am lvl 6 yayay ahahahaha and go tsome new spells and i am doing great except my weapon blows :( *sigh oh well but i do look sweet in my new aromor although fo rbetter armor i look more naked hahahaha half naked elf boi in leather everyone run :cool: :p:thumbsup:

OH yeah btw my guy looks exactly lik e my avatar BUT i have one of those hats i tallked about ealrier on hehe

See? No job combination with any race is bad. Each one has it's faults and pros, that's all.

Crashpod, you could be a Taru THF/WAR and you STILL wouldn't have an awful time with things.:) I don't mean to imply that, say, Elvaan PLD/WAR is just as good as that, I'm just saying that nothing will get you killed...

galka as a red mage might work quite well

if you think about it since red mages have a dicent attack and they only have axcess to the lower lv spells it would work out quite niceily ;) (lower lv spells = less mp)
