Have couple of questions

I just got the game yesterday and I'm wondering few things....

1.Can you see how much more exp is needed to gain a level? If so, how can you see?

2.I'm level 7 warrior and I still have the same equipment that I had from beginning. I have about 450 gil, can you buy a cheap/better weapon or armor for it?

3. How do you get a fishing rod?

1) First option in the menu. It should look like 50/500 or something similar. Subtract and get the difference for how much EXP you need left to level up.

2) Yes, weapon and armor can be purchased from either the NPC stores or the Auction House.

3) Item stores usually sells them. Certain types of Goblin Fishers drop them occasionally as well.
