bb navigator/hdd initial setup

Hello everyone, Im new to this board so naturally my first post will be about trouble ;).

I have the internal hdd and bb navigator disc 03, the problem is that when I load up the disc it passes the Playstation 2 logo, spins like hell, then nothing, just a black screen, I dont even get a disc read error. The bb navigator disc has a blue surface I´ve read elsewhere that some ps2 models has trouble with these.

Is there anything I can do besides buy a new ps2 (my warranty is long gone).

hmm did ur internal hdd come with the bb disc's? cause mine didn't.

yes for the later/newer models of the jp ps2 system they can't use the external hdd. so if anyone that knows jp pretty good and could translate the how to setup the hdd/bb navigator that would be excellent.

Yeah I got the bbnavigator 03 cd with my hdd, its useless though in my PAL ps2, Im getting a Japanese one asap, the 5000 model which supposedly works with internal hdds.
