Have a few questions? Please help!

I'm a lvl 10 thief and a resident of Bastok. I'm getting board of the area and want to venture out and explore the rest of the area. Although when i get 4 or so areas away from home the monsters are to high of a lvl and I get killed easily.

I hear there is a boat that you can catch to go to another city. Can someone tell me where it's located? How much is it? Also what's the deal with the airship, how does that work?

Where should I go to lvl up easily? I'm sick of getting 15, 18, or even 36 exp points for a kill. Any suggestions?

Also anyone know where a good guide to making stuff or a guide on what different items are or do? I won't know if I get a rare item?

What's the deal with a side job? Do you experienced players build up multiple job classes? Like I said I'm a lvl 10 theif should I switch over and start lvl a new job? Which job will suit me best?

Last question for now i guess before this gets out of hand. What is the best skill to master and what is the best way to master it? I found a guide on a different website on how to make other items but it doesn't tell you what crystal to use?

1. you can form a party and explore. more chance to survive.
Or if you're really careful you can run all around the world avoiding all enemies. (some level 1 character managed to run to jeuno before)

2. the boat is in Selbina. if you're from bastok, you'll need to go to west side of South Gustaberg > North Gustaberg > Konchtat > Valkurm > Selbina. the ship will take you to Mhaura located near Windust

3. if you form a PT of 3-4 people you can run around killing sheep in Konchtat. IF you have a full party you can start to go kill rabbits and lizards in Valkurm

5. support job is there to give you special bonus and abilities. it won't affect your level or count towards anything. i recommend you try reach level 18 with 1 job first tho. to get the support job quest. having a support job helps you solo at low level a lot easier.
