I finally got my copy of the import yesterday:thumbsup:
I know its allitle late to be importing but I figure I can work on my japanese skills this way. I had no idea how much work it would take just to get the game up and running. I recieved the game at 3 in the afternoon and it took me till 8 to start my character. (lots of work!) I decided to make a Galka theif and started in Bastok. Right off the bat, I met an english speaker who had just started at the same time as me and we were both incredibly confused.
He didnt speak any japanese and he was very happy to met me.
So him and I strolled about the town while I tried my best to ask where stuff was. (man its been awhile since ive spoke japanese  ) I honestly felt like a was a tourist in japan walking around with a dictionary, testing out phrases. I felt so goofy, but i was having a great time. The reactions i got from people where very funny. Most people where very nice and when they saw that I was struggling with japanese they would try to speak english to me. Things like "Camon, follow!" and "Understand" it was very cool to interact with everyone. After about an hour of roaming and atleast quiting the game 3 times because of that damn windows key and alt+tab we finaly found out where to shop/fight. Sadly I had to catch up with my sleep so I never saw any action on the battle feild. I cant wait to get off work and start playing tonight!
