Question about Ranger relevance

I just want to use bows mainly, not guns. I was thinking about using a Mithra to eventually become a Ranger, but...

Is it worth it if I only want to use bows?

Should I just stick with my Elvaan and be something else and use bows on the side?

Well at higher levels guns are stronger then bows so eventually it would be wise to change but I would stick with an Elvaan if I were you just incase you decided a different job besides ranger .. elvaans are open to possiablity's
