Hi,
The only MMORPG that I've played to date is Diablo 2, which I played a good deal of. In that game, when you killed a monster or boss, he would drop items. There would always be a mad rush with all the people in the party grabbing whatever they could.
Now, I was finally able to discern that monsters do in fact drop items, but now I'm wondering how it works. Is it the same mad scramble to get what's dropped, is there some kind of system that divides items among party members, or something else altogether?
Also, I've heard a lot of people talking about saving up for certain weapons or armor. Do high level characters still get some of their high level equipment by purchasing it? I know in D2 you hardly ever bought something from anyone, it was all finding and trading.
Thanks a bundle!
