How much do antidotes cost? And can you buy them outside of the auction house??

4-500 each. you can find them in NPC shops in every town too.
they are expensive. use it at your own will tho...

why do poitions cost soo much?!?! no wonder they won't do a chemist they will need theif as sub job...

high end game requires tons of potions. they are needed.
high level players travelling to do a boss fight really need potions to stay alive. and finding enough money for potion supplies aren't too hard at that point.

at low level it's not neccessary to use potions. if you want to spend money buying it then yes it can help you a lot too. if you want.

alshemy guild can be really profitable.... once you got it high enough. making potions and sell isn't really that good money. but it helps in term of saving money you need to spend to buy potions since making one is a lot cheaper then buying one.

Are MP restoring potions rarer or more expensive than HP potions? And how well do they work? Hopefully I'll be able to make some good ones...

I checked the Outpost in ESaratabarata today, 800 gil X_x. I guess its cuz windrust is last in conquest?

do you mean antidotes (concoctions that cure poison) or potions??

:) well normal price for most commonly used potions in my server are like this
(don't bother buy them from NPC. They sell a lot more expensive than player made ones)

High Potions. 150HP heal. 1,200-1,500 gil each
High Ether. 80MP heal I believe (never have time to actually see) price from 4,000 - 4,800 each
Potions for heal Silence. for heal silence effect. 450-650 each. 1 doze costs around 6,500
Poison. Poison yourself to prevent sleeping. 1,300 each. can go up to 17,000 per doze.
Elixir. heal both HP and MP. about 6,000 each.
Vile Elixir. heal both HP and MP. about 15,000 each.

I never use Elixir before so don't know exaclty how much they heal.

As to how often I buy them.... every week i'll need to buy potions sometimes twice sometimes more.
6-10 high pots, 4-5 high ether, a doze of poisons, few doze of silence potions....
