I always and still have liked the Thief you can steal stuff and Flee :) but I dont like the Blackmage very much...to tough to level up.

My personal favorite is Black Mage. I just love to blast those baddies away.

Blackmage because I think that job requires you to do a lot more than the rest.

Thief because it has a lot of combos with other jobs, and just seems fun. :)

White Mage is the best to watch, cuz it's nice to see a person helping out another, or the white mage could be selfish and heal himself:thumbsup:
But i personally like being the warior the best. It's probably been the most worn out, but I jus don't like casting magic. I'd rather relie upon my trusting claymore than my mp. But thats jus my personal opinion :)

IVe always been attuned to clerical classes since the inception of EQ. Mages and clerical have always been my favorite, though this game Im thinking of trying a monk/thief or vice versa combo. Of course ... Ill still max whitemage hehe.

from my MUDding days.. thieves were the most feared pvp'ers..

backstab + sneak + hide and just way far too many ways to kill someone

I find it fun and exciting to be a tank (warrior now, gearing to be a Paladin/warrior later).

You can handle most of the pulling, you take most of the damage (white mages can leave you on the edge of your seat sometimes), and you also have to keep track of taunting....so when the BLM or WHM pulls agro, you need to use Provoke quickly....or the whole fight could fall apart due to a death.

Without a good tank, the group gets no where.....we are an essential part of the PT. It's always rewarding to help others :P

(Lots of other classes are essential to groups, don't mistake my statements for being elitist)

PS - Be comfortable with dying, it's your job as a tank to be the first to take a dirt nap.

Your right, we the warriors deserve jus as much respect as the lil taru-taru's, but we are no where as cuddly!! :)
I can't tell you how good and strong i feel when i save someone that is being chased by a gob and is about to die, oh it feels great!!!
P.S.--> This is the first RPG I played since FF-7, let alone i have never even played an online game, so i never enjoyed your joy/burden of being a mage... sad huh!?

I enjoy being RDM and THF.
I feel ok being warrior and ranger.
I don't quite enjoy being BLM and WHM so much.
all other jobs I don't really interested to play.

pretty much a personal choice really.... you like running up front whacking stuff, or do you enjoy staying behind and supports your friends? someone will prefer something ...

I want to have summoner as an advance job. But I know I'll have to be white mage first to have a good sub job fo summoner. But white mage doesn't seem very fun just healing people.
I would think Warrior would be the funniest since you always in the action.
Any white mages out there who can ease my doubts of White mages? Yuna was fun to play in FFX because she was both summoner and white at beginning of game.
In FFXI when you start out, you only have healing magic right? How would you fight by yourself?

maybe he thinks being a theif is fun cuz you could do sneak attacks, and sometimes u can outrun a monster if u think its going to kill you. So it's like being a ninja to them, in a weird generic way :) :thumbsup:

First of all, grow up. (~_~)
Second, if you know how to use the Thief correctly, they can do some of the highest damage in the game.
Lastly, doing damage is not the only thing that makes jobs great. BY FAR.
