Summons power

hi i was wondering do u need to have summoner as ur main job fior it to worthwhile for instance if i wanted a monk main with a summoner so i could fight with my summon would my summon be weaker then if it was my main job. and if so is it still worth while to be a summoner?

you should never have summoner as a sub job. it takes away all the power of the summons and doesnt make it worth it. and yes it is worth it to become a summoner 'cause they totally rock ^.^ :thumbsup:

I use smn subjob ALWAYS as whm now. Ever since level 50 it's the greatest. You should only do that as a whm if level 50+ & your weaken magic skills are already maxed. Otherwise, you have like no spells to skill up with.

I find it as summoner was made to be a main job..making it a sub will lower your summons power significantly.I would say that ppl shuldn't be a summoner unless they are a tarutaru or hume, cuz how much mp they drain isn't gonna be worth the effort.but ne ways as I said summoner is not a good subjob..well not unless u didn't lvl the summoner job its self. imagine a lvl 60 blk mage with a lvl 30 summoner subjob!:spin: its better then being a lvl 1 summoner but u will still be weaker then all the ones that have it as a main job...and if u have low mp.

When people use summoner as a subjob it is not for the summons nor their power.

It is for the abilities you get and MP boost.

Yeah people can use abilities still if summoner is sub job. But it defeats the purpose to me anyway. To be a summoner is to use the summons awesome power to kick other monster but. I love summons.
