How high of a level of magic can a Red Mage cast (Like Fire 3 or thundaga 2 or whatever). And is the only difference when casting magic when your a rdm apposed to a whm or blm the level you need to be in order to cast it.

That's a tricky question because right now no one knows how high the level cap will go, therefore it's hard to say how high your black magic will be.

What I can tell you is, yes they get some nice nukes and whatnot, but they're definately not as good as BLM. Acient black magic is mega powerful, the most powerful attacks in the game to be precise, and RDM lacks access to those spells. They also lack the "magic attack power up" passive abilities that BLM's get... so over time BLM's magic will become considerably stronger. Rather than nuke, RDM's are masters at weaking the monster, hence the abundance of weakening spells. You CAN nuke, but don't expect to be supreme at it. If you sub BLM you'll get some powerups from it, so your magic will be stronger, but not like a BLM.

BLMs also have a way to concentrate single magic spells and increase their effects, so they can REALLY nuke. :sweat:

if you look at the magic scroll is tells you the job and level to use that scroll.

fire 3... im not sure I looked at it long long time ago. but i think it's 64blm, 73rdm, 98drk or something similar to that....

If you are a rdm and reach sufficent level you can power up your spells liek a black mage can ..
It lasts for 3 minutes with a 10 minute refresh time .

Also any spell a black can cast you can cast also once the sj reaches proper levle to cast it .
So some black mage spellsthat are black mage only ii can cast even as a red maeg you just have to be of right level try it out once you see for yourself...
