why 9600 pro? I would highly suggest a little more money and the 9700. 9600 has a little bit of a bad rep.

sorry, I dont know the answer to your question. I just thought I would throw in my two cents on the 9600. You know you didnt mind getting the free bump though.

its under the 9500 pro for sure since the 9500 is better, it should be around the Ti4600

That would all depend on your Direct X

If you plan to take full advantage of DX9 (which there aren't many game out with full DX9 support) then go for 9600
otherwise the legacy cards are still great (if not better)

believe it or not, my gf4 ti 4200 is actually higher on the chart than the 9500/pro. the only radion above the gf4 ti 4200 and 4600 is the radion 9700/pro. as for the percentage, it should be around 70% if the 9500/pro is better.

radeon 9500 pro is as good as the gf 4600 if not better.

I was thinking about the 9600 for radeon,

but I was also wondering about a Geforce FX 5600 256 DDR RAM
is tht better than the 9600, and what would that score on the benchmark percentage scale?

the fx is a next generation card that is suppoed to do better on future games like the newer radeon cards. according to most, the fx does worse than the ti 4600 on the benchmark scoring. don't get the fx unless your computer is good or owns.

either go 9700, ti4600, or highend FX (as in top 2 cards only)

the 9600 is flawed as are the "value priced" FX cards

 people! the radeon 9500 pro is not better! the 9600 pro replaced it! i don't thin ATI would have came out with an even worse card ro replace it, and maximum PC even rates the 9600 pro as the BEST budget video card. and do yourself a favor and entirly ignore the geforce FX 5600........card is horrible. if you got about $100 to spend go with the geforce FX 5200, if you have $50-$60 go with the highest end geforce 3 they make (it IS better than the geforce 4 MX) if you got $150-$200 go radeon 9600 pro (i got mine off newegg for $168 with S video connectors and the full version of return to castle wolfenstein, it also had free shipping)if you got $200-$300 to spend go radeon 9700 pro(think it's about $308 off newegg) and if you want the best card, go with the geforce FX 5900, the 5800 is not a good card
