So, last night I was looking round the shops in Windurst and my eyes came upon the famously expensive Dispel scroll again. 78k for a lv32 magic. What is this all about, I thought?
I ummed and ahhed for an age, since I had 91k saved up towards Refresh. In the end, I just though "I'm gonna have to get them both at some stage, right? And look how far Tomoh and Densetsu got without Refresh :) " then I plumped my gil down, bought it and used it promptly.
Got a PT back in Lower Jeuno after about 10 mins of waiting, search comment reading: リフレッシュ無し・ディスペル有り for what it's worth ;) We went down to the now usual hunting spot, Crawler's Nest.
I have to say Dispel rocks! Crawlers would use a move called Cocoon which increased their physical defense massively, but Dispel just removes that in a jiffy (and with BLM support, it was only costing 12MP sometimes instead of 25). Great stuff and I'm so glad I bought it.
Just have to mention another part of the night that made me really happy to be Red... there was carnage. Total utter carnage. Someone brought a train of hornflies and someone else aggroed a water elemental. About ten corpses littered the ground after that, and our party just stood in the middle of it and survived somehow. After the flies and elemental had gone off, Russta (in a nearby PT) re-raised, and I and my PT's white mage started raising people. I managed to do 2 raises, converted, then another 2 raises and my party friends said カッコいい＾＾... a very nice feeling indeed.
