AF Armor?

What is that? If anyones playd DAOC is that like Epic Armor?

Not sure about DAoC, but AF armor is class-specific armor. It resembles the "classic" FF costumes (in most ways; e.g. White Mage has the white robe w/ red triangles). It is said to be the best armor in the game for each respective class, currently at least, and you must go on a quest to obtain it.

Yes. They are basically supped up job specific armors that you have to be level 55 in that level to even do the quest for. You cannot buy or sell them.

every job recieve their first AF (a weapon) at around 40-43. you have to complete this quest to recieve the next quest. We call this AF1

After AF1, about lv50 you can recieve AF armor quest. AF2 AF3 AF4 AF5 for each piece of armors.

lowest level that completed all quests as I know is 56. But you can't equipt all the part yet at that level. Ex: the head part requires lv59 and 60 depends on job.

ok let's say we see a drkwarrior/warrior walking around with his AF armor
and then we see a drkwarrior/blkmage walking around with his AF armor also.
would they look the same?

I believe so. Job-specific implies main job. Subjob just gives you abilities and some stats and a few other thing ...

AF weapons? I've seen screens of the armors, but I've never heard of the weapons before. Not to question your greatness Jei :handsdown :handsdown but could you point any of these out in the screenshots forum if they are posted there?

That Scythe DRKs use are AF weapons, aren't they?

They will look quite the same. If you walk in Jeuno you can see PLD in AF walking all over the place.... The size varies on race tho.

the bow this taru is using is the ranger AF weapon (He has the whole ranger AF set btw :))

Which brings up an interesting question... Is ranger AF bow better than a gun? I wouldn't think so... Ranger AF should be a sniper rifle ^^

i don't know the stats on the bow, but i would imagine it is better than any gun currently. Heh, sniper rifle would be cool :thumbsup:

AF weapons are good only for lv 40-45 something.

If you are a mage, weapon attack power doesn't matter much, so you can still use your AF weapon till 60 since they have nice stat boost

But if you're a tank or other attacking jobs, around level 46-50 you will want to buy a new weapon and throw your AF weapon into mog house
