Question about fighting solo.

I've read again and again that soloing in this game isn't a very smart idea, at least at medium to high levels. I'm glad about that, but a while ago a friend and I saw something that bothered us.

We were watching Ping's third music video. In it he fights a gnarly lookin' "Black Dragon" solo, kicking it's behind rather easily it seems.

So my question is, is this normal? Are those dragons weak, or was Ping just really high leveled to be fighting it?

hmm the black dragon right now got a level cap at 25. so even if you're 60 you'll become 25 when you enter the battle area. so you can't solo it anymore

as you get higher levels there will be more and more enemies you can solo. people usually solo when they hunt for money.

So it wasn't like that before, and that's how Ping was able to do it?

I dont like soloing anymore now that i have two characters at about the same level....But partying does become a must when you get past about 10 to 12 I think..
