I got my copy today and I have some quick questions. Can you have more then one content ID without any extra charge? The reason I ask is because me and my brother want to play under different names. Second, how much will it cost to ppurchase a content ID when the game comes out? Third, are we able to keep the smae content IDS/character names once the game comes out? And forth, how much is PlayOnline every month? I know it sounds like a lot, but if someone could answer me I would really appreciate it. Thanks a bunch.

Congrats on getting your Beta.

1st- I dont know, check your manual

2nd- have to ask Square, noone stateside can give you an answer because sometimes prices differ between territorries

3rd- I heard that Beta testers won't be able to, but we can still pray

4th- look above

Now my turn, I had heard that the Beta is Jap, is that true?
Also, if you dont mind, could you give me an approximation on were you live, I have been checking my mail everyday for my copy, I was accepted and I know the time is close. How awesome is it?

You can definately tell its a Beta though, and hopefully the graphics will be smoothed out for the final version. Say when you get online do you want to buddy/party up? Right noiw I'm all alone and having some trouble making my way around. Just let me know in my e-mail and we'll work something out. onionwarrior@hotmail.com

Assuming the pc version (I figure this is what you are refering to) is handled the same as the PS2 version:

1: Can you have more then one content ID without any extra charge?

A: Yes, I believe you can have over 10 content ID's for free during beta (limit would be the maximum Content ID's allowed per a single account)

2: Second, how much will it cost to ppurchase a content ID when the game comes out?

A: If I remember correctly, your initial Content ID will be $10 a month and $0.75 per additional Content ID on that account per month.

3: Are we able to keep the same content IDS/character names once the game comes out?

A: Not positive, but they may allow us to keep the content ID's and character names, but they will most likely wipe all character progress.

4: How much is PlayOnline every month?

A: Right now it's free, I would think when the US version goes live, the FFXI fees would cover the POL fee, since it will be the only game that POL will support (along with Tetra Master).

PC is much better for MMORPG's, but at least those of you who wish to use the PS2 instead can, I guess. ;)

I find it's a lot easier to play it with a controller though... because one analog stick is for your characters movement and the other is for the camera... so if you want to do both it only uses your thumbs, but if you do both on the pc I uses both your hands (the cursor keys, and the keypad)

Besides a USB keyboard can be used to control your ps2 game anyways... it actually makes it a helluva lot easier to type.

Oh, and ps2 loads faster than a comp :D
