what makes SAM so good?

hey i was just thinking everyone says that SAMS r godly and overpowered but i dont see true i havent got my grubby little hands on beta yet but lets look at the facts they have ok abilitys i mean gaining tp sounds good but its not godly. there stats r ok they have better atk then pal and better def then drk they have almost identical stats as a DRG. i hear alot about renkei im not to fermilier with it but i was told it was a group attck so doesnt that mean that any character can do it? plz correct me and give me positive feedback thx

RENKEI u see is normally a PT thing group attack but since samurai is the TP master:cool: , he regains TP SO fast that he can do his renkei by himself without the help of a PT which makes him godly in attack sometimes even exceeding that of a DRK and it can be a tank although paladins still rule in that department.

Just think about it... If they have better defense then darknights which there strongest attribute is defense and if Samurai's Attack's are Stronger then the paladins which Strength is one of the paladins strongest attrubite... then that goes to show you that Samurai's are awsome at melee combat... there best all aroundjob in the game

That is true but with strength you will have a hard time hitting things

I think u all know what ur talking about and thank u for clearing them up but how do they compair to Dragoons because me and my friends are playing this game when it comes out( i dont know if im in beta or i might buy the import) and 1 is palying dragoon 1 is playing samurai becasue we both want well balanced melee characters and dont want to be the same so i just want to know what eachs strong points are. i think they r the same plz correct me if im wrong but its pretty much SAM gets alot of TP and DRG have a a pet right?

He said SAM has better defense than DRK, and SAM has better attack than PLD.

But yes, DRK has highest attack and PLD highest defense.

ok, just to put a disclaimer on this info, I have only reached level 30 so far and I've always played a support class so I'm not as familiar with renkei, but from what I've noticed, samurai seems to be one of the best because of their renkei supporting abilities. It seems the most damage from a fight (especially against tote+ monsters) occurs from doing renkei combos. Samurai with high attack and having TP to do more renkei combos means that samurais can do that much more damage. As Jei said recently in a post, he saw a samurai do a 4 combo WS ... by himself. Which is just sick :eek: . I would have love to seen it though. :thumbsup: Me personally though I am loving my bard...

i believe you have them a bit mixd up - DRK has horrible defense and has probably the second highest atk in the game, next to ranger. PLD has the best defense and horrible atk. And best "all round" mellee is still war i think.

as far as what makes for a good samurai. . . hmm.
Someone who has a right combination of dex and accuracy items.(as i now think it's the most needed stat that isn't earned) Someone who can begin to sense when others are at 100+ Tp and manage the various renkeis so that they always have 100%+ TP for when another is ready for the renkei. Someone who knows the ins and outs to renkei such as timing, what abilities to use before performing a WS and of course what renkeis with what lol.
