Ok, I've been playing for about 3 days now and I guess I can rank myself a little higher than a noobie. But what I dont understand is everytime I join a party in the dunes it is always so unorganized. Las night and for an 1-3 hours today I found a good party. So I posted this to start maybe a party schedule. I don't have that many freinds yet on the server so thats also why I posted. But I think this will be great.
When posting and saying you wanna party up please specify your level,job,location,date,time, and the Time Zone. Thank You.
Also post if you can heal,tank,or pull

I can party up with players level 11-14 in Valkurm Dunes. I am a level 11 Red Mage but I cannot tank or heal, occasionally I can pull. I will be available around 10 p.m. (Central Time) on Friday 6/30/06. I will be playing till 6 a.m. so if you guys want send me a freind request. My charachter name is Arcticie.

Unfortunetly the dunes are highly disorganized and typically a pain for anyone to level in. Constand AFKs, parties that last 1 fight, people that don't know how to do there job, lots of aggro, PLs that make everyone lazy and bad at there job, etc. The good news is, people learn and things get better (hopefully by the time they get to the jungles, sometimes later though and sometimes never -.-).

I am currently going thru the dunes once again >.< with my smn, god I wish I had done this soooo long ago. Last night (my 1st night trying to xp smn in the dunes), was the worst. All of the above that I mentioned, plus a WHM10/MNK5 FTW -.- I question said WHM, response: It was either this or /war, I'm not lvling a sub until lvl 30. -.- I'm sorry but if you can't equip the proper subjob, then you shouldn't be partying yet. Go lvl your freaking blm or rdm! Sorry rant over lol.

Anyways, if you see me in the dunes >.> give me a /tell *^.^* My goal is to get out of there as fast as possible lol. Grit your teeth and hold out for 20 >.<

I do my best to stay out of the dunes, period. Last time I was there, it was for my White Mage that I unfortunately couldn't solo.

My suggestion is to pull out your sword and dig into the mobs in La Thaine or Konschtat. Sometimes, it's easier to go it alone than to deal with all of Valkurm's bullshit.

Hehe, I did a little trick to make it to lv 23, but you need about 600k to do this decently easily. Stand near an OP that your nation has control of and buy potions, kill EM-VT mobs and spam those potions. I was getting great exp for doing this, and solo'd myself to 23 doing so (GF PLing me for 2 lvls saved a ton of gil). Anyways, this is how I avoided the dunes.
