due to the high demand of answers i'm making this topic to clear and give answers to some common live cam problems, if the following solutions does not work you can post your problem here and i'll do everything as possible to help you

These are the Live cams URL

- http://kefka.playonline.com/strmv1.asx (250 kbps)

- http://kefka.playonline.com/strmv2.asx (250 kbps)

- http://kefka.playonline.com/strmv3.asx (64 kbps)

- http://ff11.nyo.ns.tc/fflive.asx (unknow for the moment)

1) before anything you need to have broadband (256 kbps or higher)

2) make sure you have the lastest codecs of windows media, check www.microsoft.com or http://www.divx.com/divx/

3) this one is the most common, with the most recent media player of microsoft they missed one big spot creating a confusion with IE.

long story short, you only have to do this

go to C:/windows and open "regedit"

Now go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Media Player > Preferences

in the carpet "preferences" look for a file ForceOnline

if you don't have one then create one by yourself in the menu, Edit > New > DWORD

give the new DWORD the name ForceOnline and set the information number to 1

You might have to reboot your PC

4) sometimes the live cam is laggy, there is nothing you can do about it except to wait till the lag is gone

2. where on microsoft.com can i find any codec updates? im not very good at looking around, but i tried


BTW sometimes i can hear the music, but i never get a picture of anything but commercials

right click on the DWORD ForceOnline and click on "modify"

cloudedlink your problem is not that your player is not working but that the live cam is laggy, i suggest to watch the cam late night

Why does the top cam only show a cam of the world while the other 2 show a
preview over and over? Do they ever become live cams?

cam 2 rarely shows any event, cam 3 really blows

Sorry, I have no clue when the guy gets on. But, from what I've heard, it seems that one cam is always working. Just try them all every once in a while and you might get lucky.

im sry if this has already been answered but i dont know exactly what the live cam is i click on the links and it plays but it seems like a big loop of the same thing. thanks ahead of time to anyone that can clear things up for me.
