Auto-pilot?

Is the cam set on an auto-pilot type thing or do people actually drive it? Cause I've seen it stop at certain spots where people are doin some cool fighting that I've never seen before.

Yea, it's weird. I saw the camera like zoom though zones then stop at the big Scorpion fight (forgot what it was called) in the cave. I saw this like crab type bug walking around like there was a camera attach to it or something. Weid shit.
