last night, most people I've met I have to say are really nice
was really a great time, met a lot of people
(in contrast to JP version where i play for months without making any friend
)
I talked to a lot of people, a lot of interaction.
There are a lot of habits that american players are so different from japanese players too.
I'll tell about them during my journal
The hard part if most people don't know how to play yet, so was a little hard time
This journal is more about how people play the game
so it might contained quite a lot of text, and not so many images.
let's get started. I first login to game near HP crystal in bas market.
before i left the town many many people popped up at the HP (maybe they died)
Zakath, a level 8 warrior was there too, he asked people around if we wanted to form a new group.
I saw myself was still level 6, so I didn't join him and left the town on my own with PT sign on.
I reached level 7 after a while. Then Zakath ran pass me.
He invited me into his party without saying anyhting. hmm...
So I tried joining him.
It appeared that they were forming an alliance for level up and heading for Palbrough Mines
Was shocked for a bit, then, well, might be fun. So i decided to follow them.
But looking at their levels and i was shocked again
Most people are around 6-8. with 1 level 10 whitemage.
And also a level 4 whitemage..... oooo
Quadavs at the lower floor was only decent (choudo) to me, no wonder we get so little exp.
Like 1-2 each kill. some people started saying "exp bug! bug bug bug" lol
2 people that will have more role today, Sirjackal the whm, and Meesa the rdm.
Then we took an elevator to the second floor. I can see they are new to PT play.
I examine the first turtle right away. "incredibly tough. high defense+evasion"
well that's gonna be tough. you guys sure?
before i finish asking, a blackmage ran in and attacked another turtle right away
he died in 2 hits, too fast for me to provoke it off him.
Then the turtle went for whitemage. I provoked right away.
Then, I died without any cure at all
All whitemages seems to be busy attacking and casting vanish.
So, conclusion, we got wipted
before we went back to our HP in Bastok.
Back to bastok. Some people left the group and we got 5-6 people left.
Our leader invited a 3blm and 4thf into the alliance.
Dumty was the blm
don't know who he is in this board.
Right then we had most people 6-8. a 10whm and a 3-4....
So we started discussing about the lower levels won't get any nice exp.
(also, I saw Yoko shouting asking some question in Bastok)
So we ended up kicking the 10 whm and the lower levels out of our group.
And formed a party of 6 heading to Wadi.
Once we reached Wadi, no one was going anywhere and was asking each other where to go
Some mentioned they want to get their M2 done, oh I know where that is so I show then the water spring.
Told them many many times to come back down once they were done, no one listen.
So they ran into a Goblin Tinkerer and got wiped... and broke up.
hehehe
I then went out soloing for a while. Many people ran pass me and talked to me.
Some are doing missions, some are just levelling, was a little nice pleasant time there
Then, I decided, I should try lead my own group... see if I could make a *working* group.... hmmm
I found a Galka whitemage.... wow interesting didn't expect to see a galka mage this soon.
So i invited him. Andhad to took him through some tutorials about how to check map,
how to target PT members and how to lot in for items
While teaching him, I ran into Broot the mad Galka
The huge huge Broot was riding a poor little chocobo... wow he was so mean ><
Then i parted with Broot. And invited Sirjackal, a taru WHM who was in the PB alliance to join me.
We hunted crabs for a while, was going nicely, before the Galka said
he had to join up with his friends and want to leave.
I asked how many people he had, and we ended up traveling to konshtat highlands to meet them.
in konshtat I met 3 level 12-13. warrior, monk, thief. wow, I was a 7 war with a 7whm and 6 whm... quite different.
But we joined however
seems like no one care so much about level difference.
But... instead of making 1 party of 6, we made an alliance of 2 PT, 3 members each.
Again, impressive....
then after a while the Galka whm said he had to go... bye
Then I think he just turned off his Ps2 or something. He just gone without even sitting down to log out.
This was 1 thing i talked about.... if someone wants to log, he logs right on
Then the 12war disconnected. He came back and got his green ball on but no one invited him.
Instead, the monk attacked the next sheep.
hey... it's an "incredebly tough" to me. and our taru whm was only 6.
so as soon as it turned to our whm, I provoked. 3 hits and I was dead ...oooo
Everyone were like "what happenned. why you provoke?"
.... well why not, should i explain?
while I was lieing on the ground, all the level 12-13 said
they gotta log out. so they all logged in the middle of konshtat.
Here again
Log whenever they want. Those people are nice.
I guess logging isn't consider strange or rude for american community. Really common.
I went back to HP in Bastok, Sirjackal agreed to continue PT with me.
But he had to travel back from konshtat alone. : (
while in S gustaberg a redmage asked me to join him.
But ended up he joined me instead
And we head to Wadi.
I also invited Jobe the monk. was teaching him how to check our position by using the map.
He was nice, he tried to get to us but ended up dieing 3 times on his way.
So I have to go pick him up near bastok
The redmage wanted to do M2 too, so I show him the water spring.
And once again, he didn't listen to me and walked deep into the higher part.
3 Tinkerers attacked him, he died in a blink : ( and he left. oooo
So we had 3 left. Jobe was a little quiet. He looked new to the game too
but he didn't make any trouble
my little group was doing well.
I provoked, so monk and whm joined the attack safely, our hunt was looking better.
Then Meesa the rdm logged back on.
She was with me at the PB alliance and the first Wadi group that we died.
I invited her to join me again.
She, too, was a little new to partying
she kind of walk into enemies and attack on her own.
Then after a while she walked and gone from my sight totally!
It wouldn't be any bad but our whitemage also followed her
So they both died somewhere far far away from my sight.... ><~
Then we meet up half way in gustaberg and back to Wadi.
This time I told them to stay close to me
because I am the only one who can provoke.
Then everyone was doing better after wards
no one walked away from me anymore
and followed me nicely hehe. Our hunt become really nice.
We stick together for couple hours then suddenly Meesa said she had to go bye bye.
I had to stop her. waittttttttttttttttt
She had no Wadi map and was in the middle of goblins popping spots.
But she was sitting ready to log out already ><~~ so surprised...
Looked like most people don't plan for their log so much
I stopped her from logging, and have to convinced her it wouldn't be safe there to log.
My party left Wadi together and Meesa logged in gustaberg. yea that was better for her.
Then my day ended in Bastok. I hang around the HP crystal and chat with people.
Was having a little Q&A with a lot of people passing by
And more and more people joined up.
There was also quite a lot of shouts asking questions.
We keep chatting for about an hour until the maintenance started, and we all log out together there ^^
Very, very tired.... But I was really impressed
People are a lot nicer than I thought.
And I have no doubt to transfer my old Jazaar to USa servers now ^^ (if square would let me do so)
Can only hope, that people will also be nice in the final retail version.
