Hi everyone, I was wondering if a ninja or dragoon would be good for the Elvann race. I als was wondering if dragoons are good for partying. Thanks for any help guys.

im a elvaan dragoon, love it, u can solo ur way to lv75 if you really wanted too, i solo'd to 35 so far, and im still going

i like the way the elvaans looks, humes are to plain, and the other races are too much out there, one is too hairy, the other is short, the other is way too big and hairy

I like all of the races, at least somewhat. My main is Hume F, but I have at least one character of each race/gender. I really do like the Elvaan males quite a bit, the females are a bit too lanky for my tastes. I wouldn't worry about what job you choose to be based on your race. Some races may have to work harder at certain jobs (Galka mage, Taru tanks, etc.) but all races can play all jobs. So if you like how the Elvaan race looks, choose an Elvaan. You'll be a lot happier.

Except I think the only ones that really have to work harder are Galka (and to a lesser extent) Elvaan mages. Tarutaru's high MP offsets their HP for PLD tanks, so their HP is only really a concern when fighting things with really high chance of one-shotting people.
