There is no specific reason why not, it's just, the sheer number of it RDM (and, once more, flipping WHM, with lol2damageHolies) get. All I'm saying is I wouldn't mind if RDM didn't get some of that . . .

What I'm saying is all the MAB gear isn't bad, it just seems . . . excessive, for lack of a better word.

I've met some RDMs with a most peculiar aversion to nuking, as though it was something they're not supposed to do. While it is true there's less of an incentive to do so in these days where skillchains don't happen so much, but RDM nukes were never that bad, really. Weirder to me is they now look to SCH as a reason not to nuke.

OK, so two jobs can do it better, that's a reason? Personally, my problem with PTs these days isn't that RDM isn't allowed to melee, but that the favored targets aren't very practical for nuking. Oh well, when I cap RDM EXP, SCH will do all the meritting I suppose. RDM is somewhat awkward for manaburns anyway, if I'm manaburning on any job that isn't SCH, its COR and that's it.

If anything the fact that rdms and whms and let's bring drks into the conversation too while we're at it—the fact that those classes don't nuke when they have magic attack spells that were clearly meant to be used highlights a need for more gameplay incentive to use that aspect of their hybridized design, including more equipment that supports their needs in doing so.

While I've never seen a DRK do a decent MB, I have seen RDM do it decently and I personally have done some hefty damage with Banish III MB on some undead.

Could be much worse, they could have given RDM a truckload of Cure potency gear.
