Tamas/Rajas/Svatta Hidden Effect?

While I was trying to help some newbies with Holla the other day, I inevitable drew aggro after a DS+Curega. The funny thing is, I was a WHM/SCH, so not only did I not have Shade gear, I could not. Oddly enough though, around 80% of the time, "Wreaker is imtimidated by Neomage's presence." The only think I could think that might have caused this, was my Tamas Ring. Anyone know if this might be true?

Even though we lost (They forgot poison pots... even though I told them several times), I did get my Holla Sliver though. Only Dem to go!

If only you had tested this by playing a while without the Tamas Ring... ><
Sounds interesting, I can't think of anything else right now that gives Empty Killer effect..
