Just wondering if anyone has tried out any of the new foods yet that came with WoTG?
I'm going to test it out this weekend, but I think S-E may have given me yet another thing that I've been clamoring about for a while: INT+ Sushi. While it's the only stat listed, ffxiclo shows Fin Sushi as having INT+, if it also has the normal DEX/Acc/RAcc+ then it might be sweet for a melee RDM...and also it makes me wonder if Salmon Sushi has MND.
Anyways if you've gotten a chance to try out any of the foods and can confirm some stats lemme know! | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-30-2007, 07:12 AM | #2 (permalink) | | RABBITGAME Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Confirmed Posts: 2,875 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 83 Thanked 213x in 164 Posts Gil: 21,782 Bank: 7,146 Total Gil: 28,928 Donate | Re: New Foods? I know that Fin and Salmon Sushi are there, on Ramuh Fin is selling for 4k/single and 20k/stack, Salmon is 9k/stack. I'm assuming Pepperoni got added since it's needed for one of the few quests that are out there, and I believe Cherry Muffins did as well. Not sure about the Mushroom stuff. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-30-2007, 09:06 AM | #5 (permalink) | | thf/war&nin&drk Join Date: Jul 2003 Location: NJ Posts: 876 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 22 Thanked 15x in 14 Posts Gil: 7,938 Bank: 9,650 Total Gil: 17,588 Donate | Re: New Foods? is it true because of some clown @ fanfest they are going to add cheese sandwhich as a joke >.>

Well, what would a Cheese sandwich do?
Most breads are +VIT and +HP with various lesser negative affects.
Cheese is generally a secondary ingredient in most recipes, but when eaten on its own provides a percentage based bonus to HP and sometimes (HQ Rock Cheese) a bonus to hHP.
Butter is also a primary ingredient in grilled cheese, but cannot be eaten itself, but I would say that since it is also a dairy product, it would have similar effects to other dairy items.
We are adding the following together:
White Bread
* HP +16
* Dexterity -1
* Vitality +3
Stone Cheese
* HP +5.5% (Cap: 40@727 Base HP)
Selbina Butter
FIRE!
To yield something like
* Dexterity -1
* Vitality +4
* HP +7% (Cap: 60ish)
or HQ:
* Dexterity -1
* Vitality +5
* HP +7% (Cap: 60ish)
Is anyone going to eat it? | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 11-30-2007, 02:14 PM | #9 (permalink) | | The Storyteller Join Date: May 2005 Location: Over There Posts: 295 Style: Dark - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 242 Thanked 37x in 29 Posts Gil: 16,164 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 16,164 Donate | Re: New Foods? I got to play with Fin Sushi over the weekend, I can confirm that it's INT+5 and Acc/RAcc+ 15%~ like normal sushi, but I don't know about any hidden stats(hHP/hMP+, Resist+, etc.). I thought it might be DEX+4 at first too, but then realized that was coming from my Goliard Clogs.
I'm pretty happy with it, would've been sweet to have STR+ on it too, but I won't complain. I got to toy around in Sky as RDM/DRK now that I can finally carry my full gear set around again(thank you, Gobbybag!), used Fin Sushi and melee'd vs. Genbu, my damage wasn't anything that'd show up on a parse, but my hit rate was surprisingly high, and when I used Souleater I did crank out a pretty good chunk w/ Joyeuse(I need a Haste build ) | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 12-03-2007, 07:14 AM | #13 (permalink) | | Pink Mage Brain of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Location: Bastok/Illinois Posts: 1,540 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 142 Thanked 165x in 107 Posts Gil: 7,331 Bank: 48,838 Total Gil: 56,170 Donate | Re: New Foods? Dexterity is associated with lightning element, mind with water element. Water is weak to lightning so it follows that eating dex-aligned food would lower your mnd.
